Open mic night went well (except for the awful turnout) and I've been nominated for an award thingy, which'll involve another readout, so things are going alright, except I haven't really written much since my last submission, which I really should change...but I'll be doing a week long writing course in a month's time so I should get something done then.

Uhh, I GOT A NEW CAMERA it's all nice and everything. Canon EOS 1000D, and it's my first "proper" camera, so I've been asking for some help with it from the guys over at Neowin.net. Probably going to take some getting used to, but hopefully I'll get some use out of it

My inner nerd's been pretty happy with this week, with E3 and WWDC. E3 was pretty good, Beatles Rock Band looks alright, IN-GAME FINAL FANTASY XIII FOOTAGE FINALLY, OMG HALO PREQUEL, not sure about Project Natal...not that I doubt it'll work, more that I'm worried if a lack of buttons will be too weird...that's what I like about Sony's implementation, though in typical Sony fashion they managed to fag it up with a glowing-orb-of-shit perched on top of a stick that's a bit too phallic for my liking.

WWDC...I know it's a developers conference and all, but DEVELOPERS KNEW about OpenCL and Grand Central LAST YEAR...I mean COME ON. Most of these guys have got degrees and stuff, they're not retarded, they can remember stuff like this. You know what else they can remember? Push Notifications. Yeah, I remember those. Thanks for the notice explaining the delay, by the way. Oh, wait...

Other than that, bring on Snow Leopard and OS 3.0
